چکیده

Significance: Intraoperative parameters of renal cortical microperfusion (RCM) have been associated with postoperative ischemia/reperfusion injury. Laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) could provide valuable information in this regard the advantage over current standard care being a non-contact and full-field technique. Aim: Our study aims to validate use LSCI for visualization RCM on ex vivo perfused human-sized porcine kidneys various models hemodynamic changes. Approach: A comparison was made between three perfusion measures: LSCI, total arterial blood flow (RBF), sidestream dark-field (SDF) different settings ischemia/reperfusion. Results: showed good correlation RBF reperfusion experiment (0.94 ± 0.02; p < 0.0001) short- long-lasting local ischemia (0.90 0.03; 0.0001 0.81 0.08; 0.0001, respectively). The decreased low situations due redistribution. SDF (0.81 0.10; superiority (0.54 0.22; 0.0001). Conclusions: is capable high spatial temporal resolutions. It can instantaneously detect deficits, which not possible care. Further development transplant surgery help clinical decision making.

Assessing paediatric scald injuries using Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging.

BACKGROUND The use of objective methods for assessment of burns is limited. Laser Speckle Contrast Imaging (LSCI) is a non-invasive technique for instant measurement of tissue perfusion, making it potentially valuable for early prediction of burn wound outcome. AIM To evaluate the influence of technical factors on perfusion and to measure perfusion in burns 0-14 days post-burn and compare thi...

Determination of optimal exposure time for imaging of blood flow changes with laser speckle contrast imaging.

Laser speckle contrast imaging is becoming an established method for full-field imaging of cerebral blood flow dynamics in animal models. The sensitivity and noise in the measurement of blood flow changes depend on the camera exposure time. The relation among sensitivity, noise, and camera exposure time was investigated experimentally by imaging the speckle contrast changes in the brain after e...

Imaging depth and multiple scattering in laser speckle contrast imaging.

Laser speckle contrast imaging (LSCI) is a powerful and simple method for full field imaging of blood flow. However, the depth dependence and the degree of multiple scattering have not been thoroughly investigated. We employ three-dimensional Monte Carlo simulations of photon propagation combined with high resolution vascular anatomy to investigate these two issues. We found that 95% of the det...

Contrast-enhanced imaging of cerebral vasculature with laser speckle.

High-resolution cerebral vasculature imaging has applications ranging from intraoperative procedures to basic neuroscience research. Laser speckle, with spatial contrast processing, has recently been used to map cerebral blood flow. We present an application of the technique using temporal contrast processing to image cerebral vascular structures with a field of view a few millimeters across an...
